Our thinking after visiting the kindergartens…

"3-6 year old children's learning and development guide" points out: "to pay attention to the integrity of children's learning and development; to respect the individual differences in children's development; to understand the characteristics of children's learning methods; to attach importance to the quality of children's learning." Children continually develop their understanding of themselves via life and games, recognize the outside world through personal experience, experience, operation and exploration, and make meaningful self-construction.
In order to be able to apply the spirit of the guide to practice and the theoretical knowledge of this training can be used, the teachers are arranged to visit and study in Fengtai First Kindergarten and Yuying kindergarten in Fengtai District, Beijing.
Beijing Fengtai First Kindergarten has a history of 55 years. As a demonstration kindergarten in the city of Beijing, the culture, the environment and the confidence showed on the children and teacher’s face impressed us a lot. The course concept “Practice in life and give back to children” makes children return to the truth. What do we leave to them in the children's childhood? With the opportunity of natural life, life creativity, life discovery, life skills and life etiquette, the teachers of the Fengtai First Kindergarten make full use of "one kilometer" advantage to make their Kindergarten a cradle of education. Children could find interesting things, fulfill their wishes to change their lives, and follow their true feelings and get along with their lives here. Ample time for activities, rich natural materials, and self-confident children all reflect the cultural connotation of the garden.
Beijing Fengtai Yuying kindergarten is a municipal demonstration kindergarten in Beijing. The Kindergarten has established a stable and echelon of teachers, which lays a solid foundation for the sustainable development of various kindergartens. Every corner of the kindergarten embodies the culture and characteristics of children's autonomous sports games. "Fully excavating the sports environment resources of the park, scientifically setting up sports areas, and stimulating children's sports activities under effective environmental stimulation", in the in-depth exploration and research around these topics, teachers in Yuying kindergartens have found an effective strategy to organize "children's autonomous sports game activities". They adjust them according to practice, and maximize the level of children's sports games, and promote the development for children's language communication, life experience, physical development and so on.
Through the field observation and investigation of two high quality gardens, the teachers have found the answer about kindergarten environment, about the teacher themselves, the role orientation of children and other puzzles in different levels.

Question 1: what is the biggest inspiration for this visit?
Xiao Shanshan: I can feel education is related to their environment everywhere in Fengtai First Kindergarten. Every environment creation can reflect the educational goals and values, not only the decoration, which shows the real embodiment of the environment is the third teachers; The most impressive feeling for visiting Yuying Kindergarten is that the children really become the owner of the activities, which makes the children devote themselves better to practice and explore. Break the age and class boundaries, expand the contact and interaction between children, so that children can interact with each other in their activities and make progress together.
Zeng Jie: What I feel most deeply in kindergarten visiting garden is how to fully reflect the autonomy of children in activities. The environment creation is just made by the children themselves in Fengtai First Kindergarten, such as the outdoor environment in which many children and parents use waste materials to make ornaments, outdoor equipment, and so on. The environment of the corridor can see the process track and progressiveness (from winter to spring). From the perspective of children's development: children are happy, confident and bold, and actively communicate with adults, which is fully reflected in small tour guides.
Question two: What kinds of puzzles are solved?
Gao Yan: Not only limited to emotional appeasing in the work related to parents, but need to give more effective ways to better carry out home interaction.
Wang Shanshan: Each class has a theme enough to meet the needs of children, because it comes from children. In the process of theme screening, we fully respect the wishes and choices of children. Children's autonomy and self-confidence are formed for a long time.
Zhang Hongwei: the exhibition window shows the main body and the interaction of the home, and the content is very rich; the propaganda film contains life, exploration, discovery, and children’s development; the environment creation fully takes into consideration the children's interaction, which plays the role of the environment educating people; The leader should really show the leadership about how to use strategy to solve the problem and strengthen The cohesion of a teacher's team.
Question three: what aspects will continue to be promoted in combination with our garden work? How to improve?
Wang Lili: The training of the environment creating and the observation Fengtai First Kindergarten made me think a lot. The works of the workshop are not uniform and individualized. It is necessary to help teachers adjust their ideas through teaching and research. The kindergarten has its own "small ant" culture. We also need to make the kindergarten culture as a project, and continue to study and explore its own cultural characteristics and positioning. First the concept of environment creation needs to be changed, then we can borrow lessons from others' experience, and finally adjust to the environment with children as the main body.
Wang Shanshan: the outdoor field of our kindergarten is very large and it’s a big advantage for us. We have made full use of these sites and created a rich and challenging outdoor game area for the children. But we take the class as a unit to play the game. After the observation of Yuying kindergarten, I am thinking whether our outdoor games can also be more linkage. By breaking the class restrictions, we can make the children's choice more diversified and develop more comprehensively.
Huang Qingshuang: I saw the diversity of materials in each area, the embodiment of the kindergarten culture via environment, the children's inheritance about the kindergarten’s culture. And I understood the importance of environmental education for the growth of the children. The activities martials of Yuying kindergartens are diverse and well arranged, which ensure the needs of the children of every age period. This is the result of the teachers' thoughtful work. The children are in an orderly manner. They put the instruments together with teachers, and help the younger children actively, which makes me feel the atmosphere of the whole garden is very harmonious and the children's awareness of the rules is very strong. These are the points where we need to learn and improve.
The visiting and learning this time have given an ideological impact and support to our teacher. Following the education concept of Ms. Soong "giving the most precious things to children", what is the most valuable thing for the children? Did the materials we delivered have satisfy children’s needs while we own wide place? How to locate the culture of the kindergarten and how to turn it into a content that children are interested in and easy to understand? We should constantly do self-examination and summarizing about our work according to the “guide”. "Respecting the rights of young children, respecting the rule of children's learning and development, providing conditions for children's learning and development, ensure that they are in a warm, safe, and inspiring environment to study in the way they like, to play happily, to actively explore and grow up happily".
